We're in the testing phase of our first add-on: Database Action-Pak. This Action-Pak will be available for evaluation in our second Alpha which will be released within the next couple of weeks. These tools provide database connectivity that is completely independant of Asterisk's own DB functionality and allows the user to easily create and debug powerful database-driven IVR applications. Features include:
- Support for many major databases right out of the box including
MySQL, Postgres, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Firebird, and numerous others
via JDBC. Support for virtually any other major database can be easily
added and configured from within the Safi Workshop.
- Fully configurable Database connection pooling for fast database
access.
- Fully integrated database browser and SQL development environment:
DB queries, updates, stored procedure calls, and all other SQL-based
interactions can be developed and tested without ever leaving the Safi
Workshop. Once saved these are immediately available for use by any
Saflet in the system.
- Powerful new suite of Action Steps for convenient retrieval and
manipulation of database resources.
In addition, this release will include a number of bug-fixes and
improvements over the current alpha. Screencasts and tutorials are
forthcoming and will coincide with the actual release but here's some
screenshots to give you an idea of what to expect:
